About Us

Ministry of Ideas is a podcast dedicated to investigating and illuminating the ideas that shape our society. It is an initiative of the Religious Literacy Project at Harvard Divinity School. It is produced in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is featured in The Boston Globe Ideas Section. Ministry of Ideas is a proud member of Hub & Spoke, a new collective of independent, idea-driven podcasts.

Nick Andersen | Senior Producer

Nick Andersen is an audio producer based in Cambridge. A native of the Detroit region and a 2012 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nick is the lead producer of WGBH’s MASTERPIECE Studio podcast. Before that, he was a producer for the WBUR / NPR talk show, On Point Radio. When he's not editing audio, Nick enjoys running, reading and cooking. His tail-less Siamese cat, Shiva, rules everything around him.

Galen Beebe | Managing Editor

Galen Beebe is a freelance writer and multimedia artist currently based in Boston. She is an editor at the Bello Collective and is co-founder of Etc. Gallery, a publisher of collaborative narrative experiments. Her work has appeared in the Atlantic, Full Stop, and elsewhere.

Zachary Davis | Executive Producer and Host

Zachary Davis is a graduate student at Harvard Divinity School studying intellectual history and philosophy of religion. He is also a producer at HarvardX where he builds open online courses in the humanities. 

Maria Devlin McNair | Producer

Maria Devlin McNair received her PhD in English from Harvard University. Her research focuses on philosophy and literature, and she is currently writing a book on Ethics and Renaissance Comedy. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

Pallavi Kottamasu | Producer

Pallavi Kottamasu graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a degree in English literature. After teaching for a year in Spain, she decided to pursue audio. She worked as an intern at New England Public Radio and the PRX Podcast Garage. Now, she's attending the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, ME.

Virginia Marshall | Producer

Virginia Marshall has worked as a producer at WBUR’s Radio Boston and as co-editor at Cognoscenti, WBUR’s ideas and opinion page. She’s also an editorial assistant at Harvard Review where she edits the book review section. Her hobbies have not changed since she was eight: she likes baking, reading, dogs and biking.

Steve Larosa | Music Director

Steve LaRosa scores music for film, animation, concert music, and commercials. He studied at The Juilliard School and Il Conservatorio Di Milano under the tutelage of Gabriele Manca, Alessandro Solbiati, and Mario Garuti. Steve’s work has been performed in New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, and Amsterdam.

Dan Pecci | Creative Director

Dan Pecci is an artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and theater director. He founded the Boston-based theater and fashion collective Street Corner Society and is the principal artist, designer, and illustrator for The Dan Pecci Company.
